Charity Hunts

Anyone who has ever seen an Indiana Jones movie knows heroes always give back treasures discovered for the greater good. So, if you’ve got a slithering feeling in the back of your mind that you need to do an event that gives back to the community, let us whip up an adventure of a lifetime for your team.  After searching for fortune and glory, they’ll be flying high from the feel-good factor that comes from doing something helpful for those in need.

Art of the Hunt

Teams “canvas” scavenger hunt locations where they solve clues to earn magic markers and art squares.  All teams draw together at the end to decorate and hang the squares, which reveal a customized mural.  Once the squares are removed, the mural behind it can be drawn on and erased again and again – the perfect donation for a reusable arts and crafts project for a local children’s charity.

BeQuest

A cursed archeological treasure has been discovered and the world-renowned Professor Jones needs teams’ help recovering it and removing the curse.  The only way to remove the curse?  To donate the treasure to charity, of course!  Teams must be smart as a whip as they traverse the event area to search for and solve clues in this archeological adventure.

Charity Case

Teams get a passport outlining the different challenges they must complete throughout the event area, such as solving a clue, experiencing certain attractions, or completing a task.  Upon completing a challenge, they get a key.  At the end of the event, teams use their key on locked cases.  If the cases open, they win points and the items inside the case are donated to charity.

Department Store Sweep

Teams swoop around a department store, solving clues that lead them to load up their shopping carts with items that a charity needs.  For instance:

It’s said that girls who wear these don’t get passes.
But, we don’t need the type you wear – don’t be slow as molasses!
You’ll find these in housewares, now get enough,
For 16 kids – make sure they are sturdy and tough.

The clue refers to the saying “Guys don’t make passes at girls with glasses.”  The type of glasses you don’t wear, that can also be found in housewares, are drink glasses!  Will they buy the right items and win in a clean sweep?

Red Wagon Brigade

Teams assemble and decorate red wagons for kids in need to play with.  Next, they take their wagon for a spin, wheeling it from challenge to challenge to win points for their team.  When they solve a clue or complete a task, they win a toy to place in their wagon, which are also donated to the children.

Shop Til You Drop Hunt

Teams head off to the shops armed with cash and a shopping list of items appropriate for a chosen charity.  But, it’s not a boring list!  Instead, teams must use their creativity to hunt down the perfect item.  For instance, if shopping for children in need, an item on the shopping list may be “something to comfort you when you are scared.”

One team may buy a stuffed animal and another team may purchase a security blanket.  Teams reconvene to show off their purchases and points are awarded to teams that bought the most items and the item that produced the most “ahs,” etc.  The winning team gets a prize, but all teams win with the feel-good factor that comes from donating needed items to charity.
