Halloween Scavenger Hunt Activity

This Halloween Scavenger Hunt Activity is spooktastic time for the whole family! We call this a scavenger hunt activity because it is not a standard scavenger hunt list of items to collect. There are four sections – a creative activity, cleverly themed scavenger hunt items, Halloween-themed trivia and Halloween-themed puzzles. It is great for any Halloween Party and perfect for when you have a group with mixed ages. There is something for everyone in this Halloween Scavenger Hunt Activity.

Halloween Scavenger Hunt Activity Premise

Participants are given a “hunt book” with a creative activity page, a list of items to collect, a page of trivia questions and a puzzles page. They are challenged to complete all of the activities and then turn in the items and solutions to the hunt leader. The hunt leader then scores the hunt books and announces a winner, or winning team.

Scavenger Hunt Items – Something that creaks, Something that could scare
Trivia - True or false, vampire bats really do exist.
Puzzle – Teams must determine the correct phrase by using what’s in the Halloween themed riddle to create the cipher. The cipher will help teams unlock the code and reveal the phrase.

What makes this hunt ideal for families and adults?

The hunt is:

• Clever – This is a challenging hunt for adults, but clues aren’t too hard for children age 12 and up to solve. It is not recommended for children aged 11 or younger to complete without assistance. However, if playing as a family, there are activities for the younger children, so they can contribute and stay engaged as well.
• Fun - It will appeal to the little kid inside all of us, but it is not childish.
• Diverse - There are a variety of activities, which means there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Preparing for Your Hunt

Give yourself plenty of time to plan your hunt. Although we have tried to make this an easy process for you, the very nature of planning a custom hunt in your specific location will take some preparation. Read through your Directions document as soon as possible. This will explain anything that you need to purchase or prepare prior to your hunt. Most hunts will require you to plan out where you want to hide your clues. Some hunts, such as the Pirate Hunt, Teen Treasure Hunt, Haunted Hunt and the Make it Your Own Customizable Hunt require you to purchase/gather items and set up clue stations. These hunts could take up to 4 hours to plan depending on your location and experience in this type of activity.

How the Halloween Scavenger Hunt Activity is Delivered
