Shiver me timbers, here is a treasure hunt for kids that is a boatload of fun for children aged 4-7! This kids treasure hunt is ideal for birthday parties, play groups, school groups and can be easily held for small or large groups alike. Clues incorporate fun graphics and activities for the children to complete in order to find their next clue location.

Captain Tiny’s Kids Treasure Hunt Premise

Participants set sail for locations around the treasure hunt area to find and solve clues. Each clue solution leads kids to discover a place name on a Clue Location Key telling them where to go to solve their next clue. After participants find and solve all of the clues, they receive a final clue that leads them to the treasure.

In order to solve some of the clues, children must do an activity, which ups the “fun factor.” For instance, for one of the clues, children have to identify and color in certain pirate swords. If they color in the correct ones, a solution appears!

Who Captain Tiny’s Kids Treasure Hunt Is For

• Ages 4-8
• Can be played with individual participants or with teams

Note: Younger kids (ages 4-6yrs) will enjoy the activities and excitement of the hunt but will probably need help reading the clues and locations. You will want to have a good reader available to help with each team of younger children.

For instance, you can have them go to the mailbox if you are at home. Or, look behind a statue if you are in a park. So, you can host this hunt virtually anywhere as well as outside or indoors. Length of Hunt

Our hunts are designed to be very flexible in the amount of time it takes to run the hunt. You can customize this hunt based on where and how well you hide the clues. You can also shorten the hunt by eliminating some of the clues. This hunt typically lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Preparing for Your Hunt

Give yourself plenty of time to plan your hunt. Although we have tried to make this an easy process for you, the very nature of planning a custom hunt in your specific location will take some preparation. Read through your Directions document as soon as possible. This will explain anything that you need to purchase or prepare prior to your hunt. Most hunts will require you to plan out where you want to hide your clues. Some hunts, such as the Pirate Hunt, Teen Treasure Hunt, Haunted Hunt and the Make it Your Own Customizable Hunt require you to purchase/gather items and set up clue stations. These hunts could take up to 4 hours to plan depending on your location and experience in this type of activity.
